He began his career on a radio stationed in Iceland, working with the United States Air Force.

Bob also worked as a Disc Jockey (DJ)and Program Director for country music stations during the ’60s and early ’70s. He worked as a Producer and Host of ACC. He and his wife owned a Bluestem Ranch and raised cutting horses.
