Gabrielle Carteris Parents: Meet Ernest J. Carteris and Marlene Carteris

Gabrielle Carteris began her early television career after graduating from Sarah Lawrence College, where she was frequently cast in roles portraying teenagers in prominent shows such as ABC Afterschool Specials, CBS Schoolbreak Specials, and the long-running soap opera Another World.

In 1990, she landed her most iconic role as the hardworking Andrea Zuckerman on Beverly Hills, 90210, continuing her tendency of playing characters substantially younger than her true age.

At the age of 29, Carteris became the oldest cast member to play a 15-year-old character, even lying about her age during the audition process to get the part. Carteris’ production business, GABCO Productions, entered into a promising arrangement with Rysher TPE in 1993 while actively involved with the show.

Carteris said goodbye to Beverly Hills, 90210 in 1995 and went on to anchor her own television chat show, Gabrielle. The show’s run, however, was brief, lasting only one season. Following her stint on 90210, she maintained her acting and voiceover career, amassing an extensive resume of credits in numerous television shows, films, and video games.

She rose to prominence as a star of television movies, starring in about a dozen of them. Seduced and Betrayed, her first television feature was released in 1995. She also became a regular on network television, appearing in episodes of shows including Touched by an Angel, King of the Hill, NYPD Blue, JAG, Criminal Minds, N.C.I.S., and others.
