Aiden Fucci, a Patriot Oaks Academy student, was arrested on May 10 and is being detained at the Juvenile Justice Department. The authorities declined to say if the murder was sexually motivated or if Bailey was assaulted during the crime.
He also stated that detectives retrieved what they considered a weapon: a folding buck knife found near Bailey’s body in a pond. He noted that the blade was “missing a tip,” later found on her scalp by medical examiners.

Bailey’s mother recalled her daughter’s fiery nature, stating that she was driven to be “front and center.” Both she and Forrest appreciated the community’s support throughout their daughter’s death, and they walked on stage with the remainder of their family.

Story Of The Murder Of Tristyn Bailey: What Does The Police Inquiry Say?

Aiden Fucci, who was just 14 at the time of her death, was charged with first-degree murder in Tristyn’s death. His trial is scheduled to start in November.
Investigators examined Fucci’s residence and discovered a Buck brand knife sheath, a pair of wet, white Nike sneakers with blood on them, a T-shirt with blood on it, a white piece of paper with handwriting that may have included blood, and a pair of wet blue denim trousers in a washing basket.
They also discover blood and dirt on the bathroom sink drain. This all made it easier for the investigators to know the culprit behind the murder.
