Three people have been arrested as suspects in the murder of Whitey Bulger in solitary, including Sean McKinnon of Vermont. The charges came against them after four years of Bulger’s killing. All three men were arrested because of the conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.
The staff who saw the dead body of Whitey said that it was indeed a beatdown. “It might have been done with a lock in a sock or in the fist.”
A lock in a shock is a typical weapon in jail in which regular padlocks are put in socks and swung with force to attack targets. According to the workers, video footage showed at least two inmates entering and departing the cell before the police found the body.
Before his transfer to West Virginia, Bulger was confined at the nation’s most extensive federal prison facility in Coleman, Florida. Still, he was sanctioned for threatening a health care worker, as per police records.
