American rapper, actor, and producer Ice-T has been named the longest-running character on Law and Order SVU.
He plays Detective Odafin Tutuola on the TV series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999), which is ironic for someone famous for “Cop Killer” and his feud with the L.A.P.D.
Ice-T and Law & Order: SVU has become synonymous since Fin’s introduction in 2000 in Season 2.
The rapper and actor have since filmed over 400 SVU episodes, assisting Captain Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) as the SVU tracks down NYC’s most heinous criminals. SVU wouldn’t be the same without Ice T, so it’s incredible to see him celebrate such a landmark moment.
Besides Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2000-2023), Ice-T has starred in numerous films and tv series including starring as police detective Scotty Appleton in New Jack City (1991), Jack Mason in Surviving the Game (1994), Earl Borgese in Swift Justice (1996), Victor in The Ghetto (2015), Croft in Equal Standard (2020), many others.
